Gdansk!

Hoy os traigo fotos de otra de las ciudades que visité en mi recorrido por Polonia, Gdansk.

Today, I show you pictures from one of the citys I visted during my Polish tour, Gdansk.

 

Gdansk es la sexta mayor ciudad de Polonia y la mayor ciudad portuaria de este país. En esta ciudad se encuentra el famoso astillero donde se fundó el sindicato Solidaridad. Gdansk, junto con las ciudades vecinas de Gdynia y Sopot, constituyen un área metropolitana llamada en polaco Trójmiasto ("Triciudad" o "Triple Ciudad").

Gdansk is the sixth largest city in Poland and the largest port city in this country. This city is the famous shipyard where the Solidarity trade union was founded. Gdansk, together with the neighboring cities of Gdynia and Sopot, is part of a metropolitan area are called in Polish Trójmiasto ("Tricity" or "Triple City").

 

Su Stare Miasto, en polaco la "ciudad vieja", es uno de los que más me gustó. Tras las Segunda Guerra Mundial tuvieron que reconstruir prácticamente por completo Gdansk pero aún así la zona del centro tiene mucho encanto.

His Stare Miasto in Polish the "old city" is one of the ones I liked most. After the Second World War had to almost completely rebuild Gdansk, yet the downtown area is charming.

Nos acercamos también a Sopot, prácticamente pegada a Gdansk, y pudimos ver sus curiosas playas con gaviotas, patos y ocas.

We also go to Sopot, practically glued to Gdansk, and we could see their curious beaches with seagulls, ducks and geese.

El amor es caprichoso..

Hace un par de semanas fuimos a descubrir una nueva zona de Bergen y tengo que decir que me maravilló, tengo muchas ganas de volver cuando haga mejor tiempo porque ese día, aunque hacía sol, era muy frío!

A couple of weeks ago we went to discover a new area of ​​Bergen and I have to say I was amazed, I really want to come back when the weather is better because that day, despite the sun, was very cold!

Gamle Bergen es un tesoro a pocos minutos del centro de la ciudad, es el museo del antiguo Bergen. Esta formado por unas 50 casas iguales a las que había en los siglos XVIII, XIX y XX en esta zona. Hay de todo, panadería, escuela, médico, barbería... Cuando fuimos estaba el museo cerrado pero tenemos claro que vamos a volver, que he leído que hay representaciones de la época!!

Gamle Bergen is a treasure just a few minutes from downtown, is the museum of  the oldest Bergen. This consists in about 50 houses were equal to those in the eighteenth, nineteenth and twentieth centuries in this area. There is everything, bakery, school, doctor, barber ... When we were the museum was closed but we know we're going back, I read that there are representations of that time!

Además, hay un montón de ocas y patos y por todos es sabido que adoro a los patos!jaja También hay una gata que se hizo amiga nuestra y nos seguía a todas partes. Os presento a Fantoft.

Bryggen

Vuestros deseos son órdenes para mi así que..hoy os traigo un poco más del Bryggen.

 Your wish is my command for me... so today I bring you a little more of Bryggen.

Bryggen en noruego, esa maravillosa y fácil(jajajajjajajajajaja) lengua nórdica, significa muelle. Bergen ha sido siempre una ciudad muy alimentada por la pesca por lo que es lógico que tuviera muchos pescadores y comerciantes, pues ahí es donde vivían. Las casitas son como las originales aunque han sufrido reformas y son una monada! Cada una de un color y toooodas de madera. Cuando hace sol da gusto pasear por delante, a un lado el colorido Bryggen y al otro el mar.

 Toma ya! A que soy buena guía turística?? Bueno, ahora os pongo la info de wikipedia mejor :)

Bryggen in Norway, that wonderful and easy (jajajajjajajajajaja) Nordic language, it means pier. Bergen has always been a city fueled by fishing so it is logical that there were many fishermen and traders, so here is where they lived. The houses are like the original but have undergone renovations and are so cute! Each of a color and all made with wood. Glad when it's sunny stroll ahead, beside the colorful Bryggen and the other sea.

Bryggen es un barrio histórico ubicado al noroeste de la ciudad de Bergen, en Noruega, situado en un muelle en la orilla oriental del fiordo donde se asienta la ciudad.

Bryggen, also known as Tyskebryggen (the German Wharf) is a series of Hanseatic commercial buildings lining the eastern side of the fjord coming into Bergen, Norway. The name has the same origin as the Flemish city of Brugge.

Bryggen era el barrio de los comerciantes de la Liga Hanseática, establecidos allí en 1360. A lo largo de la historia, Bryggen, con sus edificios de madera, ha sufrido varios incendios; hoy en día, la cuarta parte de los edificios datan de después del incendio de 1702; el resto son más recientes. Se conservan algunos sótanos de piedra que se remontan al siglo XV. Tras el incendio de 1955, en la zona afectada se construyó un museo y varias casas de madera en el estilo antiguo; también se edificó un hotel de ladrillo muy controvertido.

The city of Bergen was founded in 1070. The area of the present Bryggen constitutes the oldest part of the city. Around 1360 a Kontor of the Hanseatic League was established there, and as the town developed into an important trading centre, the wharfs were improved. The buildings of Bryggen were gradually taken over by the Hanseatic merchants. The warehouses were filled with goods, particularly fish from northern Norway, and cereal from Europe.

 La Iglesia de Santa María es el edificio más antiguo de Bergen, con alguna de sus partes construidas alrededor del año 1130. Fue la iglesia de los comerciantes hanseáticos desde 1408 hasta 1766.

Throughout history, Bergen has experienced many fires, since, traditionally, most houses were made from wood. This was also the case for Bryggen, and as of today, around a quarter dates back to the time after 1702, when the older wharfside warehouses and administrative buildings burned down. The rest predominantly consists of younger structures, although there are some stone cellars that date back to the 15th century.

En la actualidad, Bryggen es una zona eminentemente turística, con numerosos restaurantes y tiendas de todo tipo. Debido a la acción del tiempo en los edificios históricos de madera, a partir de 2008 se lleva a cabo un proceso de restauración para evitar el posterior deterioramiento estructural.

Parts of Bryggen were destroyed in a fire in 1955. This area was used for the construction of Bryggen museum containing archeological remains, plus some old-style wooden houses, these being the six leftmost houses on the panoramic picture below. Controversially, a brick hotel was also raised on the premises, which is seen behind these six houses.

Bryggen fue declarado Patrimonio de la Humanidad por la Unesco en 1979.

Bryggen was declared a World Heritage Site by Unesco in 1979.
